We are looking for a transportation coordinator to join our team. This individual will ensure appropriate rail car and trailer inventory is maintained to deliver finished product to customers.

Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to legislated and Company standards for safety, control, and housekeeping,
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with established Company standards, policies, legislative requirements, and collective agreement provisions, through regular safety crew meetings, general discussion, and individual communications,
  • Rail car and trailer supply management including tracking, diversions, corrections and billing,
  • Dispute investigation and resolution,
  • Respond to telephone, email enquiries, and maintain ownership of each enquiry from start to problem resolution; resolve escalated enquiries or escalate issues for resolution,
  • Research, investigate and collaborate with the appropriate subject matter expert to make a recommendation or decide upon a solution; access and obtain data from multiple information systems to respond to questions.

Your profile:

  • High school diploma or equivalency, post-secondary education in a related field is preferred,
  • Certified logistics professional (CCLP or a willingness to complete the program is required,
  • Candidates must have strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills,
  • Candidates must have strong computer skills including experience with MS Office and previous experience with Elixir would be an asset.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work in Canada at the time of applying for the position.

Compensation:

  • This position is a unionized hourly position starting at $36.45/hour,
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision care and medical benefits along with vacation and defined benefit pension plan.
