Careers Utilities Shift Supervisor
We are looking for a supervisor to join our team. Candidates must have a 2nd Class Certificate at the time of applying for the position. Candidates should have technical knowledge related to liquor recovery systems, steam/power generation and water quality/effluent systems. This is a unionized position with individuals working twelve (12) hour shifts on a four on, four off work schedule.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to legislated and Company standards for safety, control, and housekeeping,
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with established Company standards, policies, legislative requirements, and collective agreement provisions, through regular safety crew meetings, general discussion, and individual communications,
- Ensure the plant is operated to comply with all legislation pertaining to safety, environment and boiler operation.
- Participate and contribute to the efforts of the mill shift team,
- Administer crew training to meet requirements in accordance with standards and succession needs,
- Candidates should have strong leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills,
Compensation:
- This is an hourly paid position within a bargaining unit,
