Careers Kraftmill Shift Superintendent

The Kraftmill Shift Superintendent will provide leadership and support in the management of shift performance in the Kraftmill operations. This position works shift work; two day-shifts, followed by two night-shifts and four days off. Each shift is twelve hours.

 

Responsibilities:

  • You will monitor and provide support for safety, environment, product quality and productivity while ensuring that budgeted safety, cost, production and quality targets are satisfied.
  • You will monitor mill processes to ensure compliance with both Company and Legislative standards.
  • Work closely with operating and maintenance departments prioritizing needs and coordinating repairs.

Your profile:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency required, preference given to candidates with a post-secondary diploma or degree.
  • At least 3 years of previous leadership experience and sound decision-making abilities.
  • The ideal candidate would possess previous experience working in a unionized industrial facility.
  • Proficient analytical skills required as well as a strong background in MS Office products.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance priorities that meet short and long-term objectives; uses organized and efficient work methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required, including an ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced and structured environment
  • Candidates must be able to legally work in Canada at the time of applying for the position.
